... because a new Horizon story is about to drop tomorrow, as an entry for Aragon's comedy contest:
Watch! Watch!
There's a crime wave gripping the sleepy town of Apple-Morepone, and nopony on the City Watch seems to care. Corporal "Rainbow" M. Dash naps through her patrols, her partner Dobby is an infamous kleptomaniac, Captain Rhymes is a drunkard, and the entire Watch is a group of burnt-out misfits.
They're about to meet a batpony (adopted) by the name of Carrot, visiting town to return an overdue library book.
And none of their lives will ever be the same.
If this sounds to you like a Terry Pratchett crossover, you're right. "Steal from the best," Mama always said.[1]
Not coincidentally, I am having so much fun writing it.

In my honest opinion, this is basically cheating.
I'm not complaining, I'm just saying knowing exactly what our interests are and then catering to them is very unfair.

It's worth noting that we've all been waiting for Time Enough long enough for it to generate a tribute story, have the tribute story get finished and published on FimFiction, and then have the tribute story's continuity get hard-invalidated by subsequent developments in show-canon.
N-not that I'm eager to see it come out.

To be fair, "the judges like Terry Pratchett" is basically me firing at the broad side of a mega-warehouse that you just happen to be standing in front of. PTerry fandom is, like, up there with having ever watched Star Wars as one of those baseline geek things.
To be differently fair, I do have a history of this, what with submitting a story blatantly about poetry to AugieDog's Luna thing.
