CoffeeBean

There goes my hero.

  • TLife In Boxes
Luna has learned a great many things since her return, but a coincidental meeting with a young mare in the dead of night leads her down a long, dark road which has been purposefully shunned away from the world. Her hope; shed light upon it.

    The Paradigm Shift.

This was bound to happen. I do hate for it to happen, but... such is life.

And then, out of nowhere, Chapter 11 is published!

Whoa, I actually got it done. Feels... good.
    I hope everyone likes it.

    Back!

I'm home now, and luckily, I got a lot of work done on chapter 11 while I was in the middle of nowhere with no cell service. I'm gonna do my best to get more work done so that it's not another 3 months before the next update.

    Away from home.

I'm currently up in Utah right now with my Grandpa and cousin. On Saturday we depart for Idaho for a bear hunting trip, which will be good for writing, funny enough. Hunting is 50 percent walking, 45 percent sitting totally still, and 5 percent "oh fuck is that an animal".

    So... Chapter 11...

Work was moving along nicely, it really was. Then... I slowed down a bit and looked back at what I had written, and I did a little rewrite, and then I began to really look at what I had done and... I decided a total rewrite of the 4000 words I had was in order.

Chapter 4 of Life In Boxes; Pure White, has now been published! · 9:51pm Feb 6th, 2018

So, with this publication, I have to ask a question; how many of you are reading this? This story, upon launch, did very well initially; it got featured, it got into the popular box, and it raked in 36 likes. Problem is, its now two chapters later, and all of that forward progress has basically disappeared. Has this story been uninteresting? I dont typically pose these questions, since this has never happened, so the anomaly that has become this publication is worrying.

Also, I would like to use this to say that this is the last of the pre-written chapters to be published. From now on, all new chapters will be written fresh, so progress may slow... No, it will slow, lol.

I’ve not kept mostly due to illness and stress kinda sapping my time. But I can also confidently say that drop off after the first chapter is really normal. People read the first and often wait for a backlog to build before reading

I'm obviously reading

Hm. Interesting, since I don't think I've ever had such a thing happen. I do believe it was Ice Star who mentioned this concept to me, as well.

Also, sorry to hear of your illness, even more-so since it's stopped you from reading this fic! :trollestia:
Also, pt2, thanks for such a quick reply.

Kinda hard for me to not be reading :raritywink:

Anyway, basically what Cyne said. Also, there are about... 4? I think 4 contests just finishing up, so lotta new stories and stuff fighting for attention.

Ice Star is a goddamn genius

Well, it certainly isn't my cat doing all the pre-reading

Damn, I wish I had known that earlier, lol. No turning back now, though! That was part of why I published this early in the day, rather than evening. Evening is always peak.

I very much prefer to wait for a story to build up three or four unread chapters before reading. They seem to flow a lot better when i read a bunch at once. Id still like to see where Life in Boxes goes, so please dont stop now, just because of low views.

Me is mostly because I'm reading other stories in the mean time, there are many stories that I'm lagging behind because of it.
