New Legend of Sunset Shimmer Story - Update. *Feedback Needed.* · 5:02am Jan 26th, 2018
Okay, time for that update I mentioned a few days ago.
For starters, this story is going to begin not next week but the week after--currently pending so don't consider this to be absolute--and it will be different from the previous two stories I've written. It will still be from Sunset's perspective but this time she will be playing the role of an advisor and assisting the one who shall become the hero. If you guys know me well enough, I think you've already figured it out, but I won't say anything so as to not ruin any surprises.
Also, none of the humane six will be portraying any Legend of Zelda characters this time around. For one thing, the original game only had three NPCs who were reused endlessly so there isn't really any variety--I'll be changing that by giving lesser known Equestria Girls characters the spotlights they deserve. Second, I thought it would be a good idea for them to see just what Sunset has been going through though it won't be to the extend that she has already experienced.
This story is also going to be a lot shorter given how the original game can be beaten in roughly two hours if you know the game inside-and-out and know how to take advantage of certain exploits--I'm not using those as that would be detrimental to this. How long? That's where the opinion comes in because let's be honest, the original Legend of Zelda isn't known for variety so everything will get pretty dull which is why I am asking this.
Should this story focus on the entire original Legend of Zelda game that Rainbow Dash has owned for years and decided to play it for old times sake? Or, should it be more like a demo version that Rainbow Dash happened to get her hands on via a digital download and only specific labyrinths--dungeons--are featured?
I am hoping for some feedback on this one.
If I go with the former, this story should last roughly 30 to 40 chapters, and if I go with the latter, roughly 20 chapters.
Either way, this should tide you all over until the eventual Twilight Princess story--I can now 100% confirm that it will be happening.

Original, definitely. It seems to me that it would have more meaning, especially if like say, it originally belonged to one of her parents and that's how Dash was introduced to Zelda.
Whichever you decide Ganondorf8 i am sure it will be a good story
