Friendship is Card Games: Epic (Noun) Time

Yeah, we’re dipping into the fandom archives for this one. Literally, given that the Alligator Tub Productions YouTube channel has renamed itself and wiped its content. But the Internet never forgets (except when it does) so let’s look at some classic fan animation and see how well it holds up.

Friendship is Card Games: Ponyville Mysteries: Schoolhouse of Secrets

This is an interesting situation. I begin my look at the Ponyville Mysteries novel series, which predates the Ponyville Mysteries comics I reviewed back in… 2019, my goodness.

Well, let’s get this started before my bones turn to dust.

    Egregious Automaton: Retract

Ahem. So. Upon further investigation, it is possible that the primary source for the "AI voices" brouhaha may, in fact, have been full of crap. Or at the very least, does not work at Hasbro.

    Egregious Automaton

You may have already heard about this from Equestria Daily or elsewhere in your personal bit of the Webbernets, but the reason behind the abrupt end of Make Your Mark has come to light.

Firstly, Getting the Band Back Together updated last night, if you're in the mood for a siren reunion story set in the Oversaturated World. Secondly, those of you who enjoyed Land of the Banished Sun will be pleased to know that I've been giving some thought to expanding it. Can't give a timeframe at the moment, but I can pull a page from Georg's playbook and show you a preview of something you won't see for months.

As with most things in her life, Twilight Sparkle carefully scheduled when she left Crystal Prep, heading out at exactly half past three, when the busses had left and all the clubs were still in full swing. That way, she minimized any potential social encounters before reaching her bike, which would both get her home and provide the physical activity necessary for any young woman of her age.

At least, so went the theory. When Twilight exited the building, she found a disproportionate number of students congregated around an unforeseen variable.

“Why is a stretch limousine parked outside of the school?”

“You said that out loud. You shouldn’t spend so much time in that lab of yours if you can’t tell when you aren’t just thinking something.”

Twilight glanced to confirm that Sugarcoat had her usual expression of disdain towards everything in the universe, particularly Twilight. In a sad, surreal sort of way, it brought back some sense of normalcy. With a sigh, Twilight unlocked her bike and wheeled it past the murmuring crowd as best she could.

At least, so went the plan. Today was apparently not a good day for Twilight’s plans, since the moment she hit the rough edge of the gathered masses, the limo’s horn honked twice. She snapped her head up reflexively, just in time to see one of the passenger windows roll down and reveal the most beautiful girl she’d ever seen.

Eyes like… like…

It was at this point that, even as most of her brain was awash in a tide of hormones, Twilight had to admit that she was no poet. Others might have been able to sincerely liken the girl’s eyes to emeralds, her skin to warm bronze, her hair to clouds in the evening sky. Twilight knew how all of those things worked too well to compare them to one another. Those eyes were just organs designed to gather data from reflected photons and transmit them to the occipital lobe, their irises colored by one of the many, many poorly understood isomers of chromelanin.

That didn’t change the fact that those photon sensors were giving her the most salacious look she’d ever experienced in her young life.

Then the girl spoke, loud enough that everyone gathered around the limo heard it:

“Get in, loser! We’re gonna experiment.”

Are you going to use another three-card combination for it?

Sunset got a limo? Huh.

Also expected Flash Sentry from the title, but no. Huh.

No, this will be an expansion of the original, filling in the ending timeskip.

My prayers have been answered!

As long as we get more Otakushy, 'sall good.

Like I said, I'd write more of it myself, but my skills pale in comparison. Continue sailing that ship. And the others. Continue sailing that fleet.

SWEEEEEEET! :pinkiehappy::heart:
