What happened to Crystallite?

Hi everypony, it’s been a while!

I know a few of you were wondering what happened to me and if I’m ever going to get off my haunches to finish Fate’s Substitute. To answer that, I figured I would use my first blog on the site as a “State of the Author.”

The short answer as to whether I’m going to finish Fate’s is: No, probably not.

I have tried over and over again to sit down and work on this story; however, it quite literally hurts to write. One of the main issues that the story brings up, the magical change of gender, is something that hits far too close to home me right now. While I don't have a magical trinket to catalyze my own gender swap, I am in the midst of a transition thanks to the efforts of modern day medicine.

For the foreseeable future, I am halting production of Fate’s Substitute. That said, I am writing again. I hope to have something to show in the next month, so keep an eye out!
