H-hey guys... long time no see... I ehh... hope everything has been good for you for the past... y-year... *sigh*
Okay look... I know it's been a long time, but I'm currently working on the next chapter for Lightnings bet. I'm already 2k words into it, but this is going to be a long chapter with a lot of... well... "bonding" lets say.
Anyways, I'm really sorry it's taken me so long to get back into this story. To be honest with you, I was having a lot of trouble with it before. In fact I had 6k words done before I had to stop. I was having so much trouble getting things to work and I just got disheartened and had to work on something else. Then after that happened, I started my Patreon to try and help with bills since my day job wasn't cuting it. Things are okay now and im still focusing on my art and Patreon more, but I've found a way where I can slowly pick away at writing, so im going to try and get back into it, and im going to start by finishing my old stories. It wasn't until recently we I found out why I didn't like the next chapter of Lightnings Bet, but the salution was to srap it and start over from square one. It's going to be a long chapter I can already tell, but I might split it up into 2 parts, but we shall see.
So yeah... I hope some of you are still around to read the next chapter...

I can completely empathize with you, getting stuck on a chapter fucking sucks. Has happened to me, and yeah, often starting from scratch is the best way to go forward. Even if it sucks to lose so much, particularly when you've been tweaking the chapter for a long time. It's just... sometimes you need to step back and just accept it needs a reset.
I'd advise to keep what you're "trashing" though, often what you prune out can still be grafted to your final story, even if it's little pieces. Select your favorite moments and keep them in mind, even for later chapters. I have a graveyard of deleted writing kept in docx files for almost all the chapters and all my stories, some of them go up to 6k+ words, passages you really wanted to make work, just lost... but it's for the best. I know it stings, but I can assure you once you start over and you find your new way forward, it's such a fucking relief. Keep at it, writing is like a marathon sometimes.
And you'd be surprised how long people will hold out for a good story to continue, you can be sure people will be there to celebrate when you update.

Yeah, the chapter I had just didn't feel right at all, and it was like 6k words into and just barley getting into the good stuff. It just didn't feel right at all.
Yeah I went in and scooped out that parts I still liked and that I wanted to use. But for the most part, that chapter was just all... really boring shit. It was just them watching a movie and slowly getting into a naughty stuff, which doesn't fit the pacing of the story or that characters. I'm a lot happier with what I got now though. You will if you ever read it and when I post it lol.
