Well, I'm alive. That's something.
Early December I had made a vow to myself that I would finish the rough draft of Effigy of a Dragon, in its entirety, by the end of December...
Well, that didn't happen. 
Here's to make up for it!
The cruise went over pretty well. I figured, being away from work, I'd have a lot of time that week to write. No distractions. Ha! 
The anticipation of the cruise alone was enough to make it difficult for me to write beforehand. By the time it was done, I wanted to spend time with family, and since I told them all about myself, it was a nice change of pace being able to connect with them easier and enjoy my time with them.
Shortly after Christmas, I was overcome with some kind of sickness that basically had me bedridden. I was so fatigued that I could barely drum up the energy to open my eyes long enough to read a text.
Long story short, I have been incapacitated these last few weeks. All the while, I have been sorely missing writing for you guys. Speaking of which, all my open stories needing chapter updates.... No... Why have I gone so long without updating them... Why?!?
Must. Update. Them! I miss them so much, and I'm sure you all do, too. 
I have two pending story requests that I'd like to fulfill now, as well. So in total, I have three upcoming stories for you guys, one of which I plan on belting out this weekend. Its concept is really straightforward, so I shouldn't run into too many snags, and since I am an exploration style writer, I can do so better without much of an outline! 
Anyways, I can't reveal anything on those two projects yet, as one of them is considered a belated Christmas present. Sorry. 
In other news, I have a new project in the works that isn't quite a story but is still related to Fimfiction. It's not officially released yet, so I can't specify what it is, but it is a service group within a good friend's chain of groups. If you spend any amount of time in Reviewer Café or Art for Fanfiction and love those groups, then you might enjoy this one as well. It has similar design and influenced by the same head honcho of the two groups.
When I officially release the group, I'll be sure to provide a link so that you can join and make use of its service (should it be something that interests you, of course).
One last note of interest before I leave you all to your fate -- I mean, leave you in pieces -- I mean... I don't know what I mean 
-- is that I have counted... and I have a thousand plus video games in my video game collection. I've been looking for something else to give you interest, something that we can actually discuss on here that isn't just an update.
I talked about doing specialized blogs before, but this particular venture is a little more sustainable for me, as it is something that naturally draws my attention anyways and therefore I love to talk about. Having done several reviews now, I have caught myself wanting to write out game reviews and movie reviews.
Because I bought a movie pass that allows me to watch all the movies I want for $9.99 a month and I have so many games, I can do either or both of those things really easily now.
Would this venture interest anyone? I can do one of each every week, so you get "Movie Review #1" AND "Game Review #1". This also gives you all more content to enjoy sooner.

Sorry to read you've been sick. :( As for the video game blogs... i wouldn't be adverse to them. I don't play video games, but I do enjoy reading reviews of them.
