Warren started the briefing, explaining into detail how to get through all the twists and turns of the facilities.
Within two hours and found of themselves standing outside the facility walls. The Decker jacked himself into the computer system in an attempt to gain access to the building.
“listen, Jackie, when this is over, if you are the only one left, disappear” Warren spoke with authority.
Jackie nodded, and hid behind a nearby dumpster continuing to guide them through.
but that’s when it happened. The minute they stepped through those doors, the team knew they were in for the fight of their lives.
Meanwhile in an alternate dimension of an unfathomable amount of possibilities.
Two beings were pouring over a book. They spoke in hushed tones, Generating an air of a worry. One of them began to prophecise.
something big was coming and is none of them knew how to stop it.
“no, no, this is all wrong,” The voice sounded like belonged to a woman in her early 20s. She began to flick through the pages of the book before she found the correct passage. “it says here Beware, the Scorpion warrior will return. death follows it” she didn’t know what that meant, ancient prophecies are often misconstrued and, more often than not, mistranslated.
However, Her assistant face-palmed. “I don't think so, if you look at it from this angle, it could be a different phrase completely,” he slid a Codex containing potential points of origins.
“If that book was written in what I think it is, we’re going to need all the help we can get”
this is both an exerpt from the prologue as well as backstory for the Shadowrun Character i currently play as.
Shadowrun is a tabletop RPG in a cyberpunk setting.
I want to get at least 2 to 3 proper chapters done (and of course checked for grammar and other things) before I upload them properly though. then afterwards it'll be a twice a month thing... I hope...If i dont get too swamped with college.
