Bubbly Mare updated!

Whew!

Last time we saw Derpy she was in a drunken haze, her friends hoisting her up to take care of her and keep her safe... something bad had happened. She woke up later, dazed and confused... but what exactly had happened while she was out?

In the next chapter, way in the past, Derpy acquired a certain set of skills she could take home. Her dear friends' love and desire to see her life improve showed her the way. It was a team effort and they all believed she could do it. Sometimes even the simplest things can fill us with such joy if they're being done for the first time, especially if that first time has meaning behind it

So this time the update's just one chapter, but boy is it a long one. Whew ^^

This chapter is part of the reason the story was held up for so long (though to be fair all of the stories I'm working on have been held up unreasonably long, lol). To those enjoying my works, thanks for your patience.

For one, I wasn't initially very happy with this chapter, but I really wanted it in there... so it underwent a lot of editing before posting, and I am happy with it now. It also, again, switches perspectives in a story that's been solely focused on one character so specifically for so long, and that arguably can be jarring. Earlier drafts I showed to a number of friends, who either enjoyed it or said aspects of it didn't work... though to be fair, however, this version of the chapter has changed a lot and is much more focused than the earlier drafts I shared. It's title is "Perspective", and there will be a few more (maybe two) chapters where this happens to show something that's going on outside of the main character.

Anywho, hope you guy continue to enjoy this story as much as I've enjoyed bringing it to you. Feedback and criticism is always welcome.
