Finally, I'm making progress again · 9:31pm Oct 16th, 2012
So, after not writing anything for at least three weeks, I've finally managed to set aside some time to do a bit of work on that rewrite, and I can finally see what appears to be progress!
So yeah, I know I missed that deadline of Sunday, but as I've said before, I'm not good with deadlines, so from here on, I think I'll go by a "It'll be out when it's out" policy. What I can say, is that I got a chunk of writing done today, and I'd say that the rewrite is around 20-30% done (remember, this is the first time I've written in ages, to get that much done today is something I'm really pleased with). I know it doesn't seem like much, but trust me, forcing myself to start writing again was difficult. However the schoolwork is easing up, and I can really see myself beginning to actually enjoy writing again; I just need to keep at it.
As you'd have probably come to expect at this point, I'm not going to give a predicted date as to when this rewrite will be finished, but when it is, I'll go straight into my next story. Although this will still be a bit of a wait, I can assure you that, from what I've read back to myself from what's done of the rewrite, my quality of writing has improved exceptionally since when I first started writing back in the summer, so this next story should hopefully be something to look forward to. While I would rather keep what I have planned a secret for now, what I can say is that the next story will most likely be a one-shot aimed at around 7-10K words. There is a small chance it could be in chapter format, but that's unlikely though.
Anyway, it looks like that's all for now. I want to thank all of you for being so damn patient with me while I get my shit together, and in the coming weeks, I'll certainly try my best to get some good stuff published.
So yeah, progress is good.
