What's taking so long?! · 9:24am Oct 16th, 2012
So, I've been getting quite a few messages lately, asking why it takes me so long to update my stories. (especially for Inappropriate) Just so you guys don't think I'm giving up or something I'll let you in on the details:
I'm still working on Inappropriate off and on. I was "sent away" for a while after releasing the second chapter and it really disrupted my thought process. When I got out, my writing improved significantly along with thoughts on the direction the story should go. I've settled on the idea of reformatting the story in its current state. This won't be a Past Sins level revamping so don't worry too much. I just want to adjust how the story is told to reflect the next chapters for the sake of consistency. I'd recommend going back and reading the first two chapters when chapter 3 hits, but it's not necessary as the content will roughly be the same. Again, I apologize for the long wait, real life has been getting a bit hectic to say the least.
Lunar Liability is still going strong. I should have the new chapter out by the weekend if everything goes as planned. Along with the update, I'll be releasing a spinoff called Mares of Equestria, Unite! It'll be a comedy told from the perspective of some popular background ponies and center around the rumors circulating that Ponyville's most eligible bachelor isn't eligible anymore. It's going to have a mature rating for sexual innuendo, adult/crude humor, but no clop. Expect it to be out around the same time as chapter 3 of Lunar Liability.
As of right now, I'm putting Externals on hiatus. Everything is set up and ready to go, but I want to see what kind of material season 3 is going to give me. In the meantime, I've been weeding out some of the weaker chapters and preparing to write them as one shots. In fact, Lunar Liability was inspired by one of the chapters I cut out. I felt it was too canon in comparison to my other chapters and didn't fit into the multiverse.
Didn't you have a tropical storm or something cause damage to your house, etc. and that's why you were gone/absent for a great while? Or maybe that was another author.
Anyway, it seems like the season of rewrites. I see a lot of stories updating their style, or going back over older chapters, or even new authors deciding to finally pen up a story.
