One of the things I have had issues with is that after Gauntlet of Fire aired, I always naturally assume that most of the background characters, dragons included wouldn't get names right away.
However, Prominence was the purple dragon I originally thought had no contribution what so ever and just to be nameless. I didn't realize she had a name until I had to google the plot from the episode.
Now, I ask if I should keep the name I have for her or change the chapters for her to her appropriated name?
Second, her intro into the stories was to be low key if not, nothing more than a few lines, however, do to her popularity in my story, she actually gained more audiences than anything else. So I ask is how much should she really play apart in this story?
Lastly, should she have a bigger role than just a minor background character> Again, she really was just a filler for a guard and not much else but it became something much more. So I ask if anyone is willing to help out and plan her future with me in these stories. I actually love knowing that she could be much more here andif possible, write off a solo series where she wonders Equestria on her own. I have a rough draft on it but would like to know if it is plausible for a genuine story of her?

Keep the name, and keep her a a low character guard, unless you want otherwise.
Amethyst was just a stand in for a guard? She seem like she a lot more personality than that. If you want a filler guard, just pick anyone from Celestia guard. I honest don't know any of their names. I wouldn't mind her getting bigger role. I half way think she is going to change Garble for the better.
