So the only episode. we completely agree on is Perfect Pear
I thought Secrets and Pies was fantastic. Why didn't you like it?
4712045 Nothing about it was funny or enterntainable, especially when the story itself was padded out beyond belief to fit the twenty two minute slot. And Rainbow Dash somehow thought it was better to poison her pet and the class hamster, on top of blantantly disregarding Pinkie's pies, and somehow never once did Pinkie suspect something even when it was happening directly in front of her. And to top it all off, the resolution disregards its own lesson when Pinkie ignores Rainbow's honesty, the last episode that did that was "The Cutie Pox" back in Season 2. The whole episode would've worked better in the Equestria Girls shorts series.
4712000 Why is Once Upon a Zepplin so low?
4712221
Mostly because of how hard I find actually re-watching it to be.
Sure, it has a nice ending, but the ending of an episode doesn't make it or break it for me.
4712225 So, the ending wasn't the only good thing about the episode. What about all the stuff with Twilight's parents and Star Tracker?
4712228
That stuff was nice, I'll admit.
But Iron WIll himself kind of drags the episode down, mostly because of how much more unlikeable he is this time around.
4712237 Okay, and why exactly is "Campfire Tales" rated so high? I don't hate it, but the actual plot is paper thin and the stories aren't given enough time or polish to be effective, it feels like a first draft promo for the tie in Legends of Magic comics, and it's a shame because we know the show can squeeze multiple stories into one episode, they did before with "Slice of Life".
4712415
Mostly because I thought the stories were actually pretty effective the way they were handled.
And while the main plot isn't that strong all things considered:
1. It was more of an excuse to get TO the smaller stories, so I don't mind it being weak.
2. It provided plenty of cute ScootaDash sisterly moments.
