shhhhhhhhhhhh just breaking the site again don't mind me

very, very, very experimental fic continues its slow progress as the deadline for bicyclette's sci-fi contest draws near. these chapters are about on-par with what if in terms of length, but oh boy have they been an interesting experience to write.

hey hey btw i've got a (couple of) public minecraft server(s)!

yeah so anyway here is my webbed site lol. there's an MC Classic server for building whatever, and an MC Beta 1.7.3 server for playing survival. I might eventually also put up a modern vanilla server as well, though given how I'm hosting a bunch of servers already for friends and a couple of discord servers, idk if the little slab of a PC I'm using to host 'em all would be able to manage lol.

summer break is almost here :V

basically got one week left lol. got an experimental fic in the works that's a sort-of direct sequel picking off right where Splintershard ended. no prior reading is necessary.

MAN it's been a while since I've toyed with writing styles.

Screw Comcast. Again. · 6:28am Oct 22nd, 2017

Haha... don't you love it when your internet cuts out every other minute? :pinkiecrazy:

All I was trying to do was search up a user's manual for a soundsystem I was helping my dad install.

GUESS WHAT HAPPENED?!

In the end, I just gave up, walked out of the basement so I had 4G access, downloaded said manual, went back into the basement and read the manual.

BUT STILL.

SCREW YOU TOO, COMCAST.

this is odd i had Comcast for years before i moved (wish i had it hear) and the only time i had any problem was when a square chewed the wires.
i was paying for 400 down and normally got 500+ that is gig and the up was set at 50gig up.
it must be the area you are in.
time to get on the phone it may be you have a modem the needs the firmware up graded. or just replaced.
on a side note i never use the WiFi to much interference from every day crap (i am betting that is your problem try setting a dedicated Chanel) , i always use cat6e.

Comcast has a monopoly in my region. Their only competition is CenturyLink, but they don't seem to lose much if a threat to Comcast.

Comcast was the only thing ware i was but i was in a high population area, Williamsport pa.

Draper, Utah. Even though it's got a decently sized population to the point where the school district ended up having to split in half to provide for the number of students, pretty much the only two choices are Comcast and Centurylink, both of which are constantly overloaded, slow, or just not working half the time.

Before I moved, I lived in Lehi, which is a much smaller neighboring town that's currently known for being Utah's equivalent of Silicon Valley, but even now, there's far more choices for internet there. Only after I moved to Draper was when I started getting internet problems.

interesting. i am thinking we got lucky as Williamsport is the home of the little leag world sears and it demands super fast internet to handle all of that crap.

Ah, aren't internet fails just beautiful

Back in Lehi there's an entire barrage of smaller ISPs that provide service to pretty much their own little subdivisions. The biggest two were Veracity and Vivint, though Veracity is what I personally used before moving to Draper. But since there were so many separate ISPs in the area, the load was typically pretty low for individual companies, so internet speeds were pretty much constantly high.
