Album Collab + Future News

Hey guys! It's been... forever. Yeah, forever sounds right. Or it's close enough. Either way. HEY, why don't we talk about something that isn't off on a tangent? Got some good news and some bad news.

First off, I wanted to mention a collab I'm participating in. Every author involved chose one character (out of 57) and was tasked with writing a short story about "the unseen moments in their daily lives". Basically Slice of Life kinda stuff. Guess which zebra I got! (Boy I can't wait to do them rhymes). I actually haven't started yet, but I do have a solid plan for what I'm going to do. Every story is released as a new chapter, and each story is anywhere between 1000 and 3000 words. It's really interesting to see the unique stuff people come up with for each character.

Secondly, I want to explain my current situation and what's going to happen with my stories. You have probably noticed my inactivity recently. Even though I said chapter eight was finished and that all it needed was some edits, that was, what, two months ago? And you'll probably hate me when I tell you I haven't even started editing (let alone working on all of the stories that I have planned). But please listen when I say that I haven't been feeling the best recently. In fact, I haven't been for a while. It's very hard to explain everything, so I won't go into detail. I've just been going through some rough patches in my life recently, and overall it's separated me from writing. I just don't seem to have the "fire" that I once did, even though I really wish I did. An analogy I find useful is that it's like having your favorite food right in front of you, but whenever you try to eat it, you get horribly sick or just find yourself unable to. I'm kind of at a dead point. There have been days where I literally don't do anything but lay in bed reading all day. I hate it, but I can't do anything about it.

What does all this mean? Well, probably that you won't be seeing too many updates until I can get my life back on track. I'm really sorry that this is how it is. I'd really prefer that it wasn't this way. This does not, however, mean that I'm finished with writing. I know very well that this is just the result of something that hasn't yet been figured out, and that hopefully before the end of the year it'll be gone. I also know that I love writing more than anything else. Being able to create worlds of fantasy to capture a reader's heart; that's what I want to do, and I won't let anyone say differently. It's just that right now I can't.

Well that was probably more depression than you needed. I really just needed to get that off my chest. I'm going to try my hardest to start writing again, and hopefully that'll help get some spark going. Thank you all for your patience.
