Mlp is a lot like Kim possible in many ways.

Kim possible is a good show in many ways. Good characters, good fanfiction writers and even a decent story.
Decent enough at least for a show for kids where no one can die.

I don't know how many of you actually like Kim possible. After all this is an Mlp website and probably most of you will find what I'm about to talk about very stupid and completely nonsensical since most of you probably don't even have the foggiest idea what Kim possible is.

But moving on.

It's as if Lauren Faust herself watched Kim possible several times before starting to create MLP.
Many of the characters are like mirror images of the Kim possible characters. For the heroes side at least.

Twilight Sparkle for instance, can be compared very well to Kim Possible herself.
Their similarities do not end at simply being the main character of the show.
A lot like Kim, Twilight is another strong female character able to overcome obstacles others would deem impossible.
Like Kim, Twilight is a very gifted student in school (Being accepted to become Celestia's personal apprentice compared to being the cheerleading captain). Both characters are able to find time to enjoy a happy and involved social life, despite being called on to tackle dangerous situations (Ie: saving the world) while making a nice group of friends. And neither girl would have gotten to where they were now without the assistance of their ragtag team of friends (in Twilight's case the mane 6 and in Kim's case Ron, wade and the other friends at school). And they are happy to do these dangerous things while asking for no reward whatsoever, and both of them do much more than the supposed "big good" in their respective series (in Twilight's case Celestia, in Kim's case Betty director, the leader of global justice) who are useless in comparison to them despite having so much more power.

But perhaps what makes them most identical is that both of them are very modest about their high positions in life, and that's what makes both of them very likeable as characters. Twilight is Celestia's apprentice and the most gifted pony in terms of magic for miles around, while Kim is the lucky daughter of a rocket scientist (very rare and extraordinary geniuses being paid a massive amount of money) and a neurosurgeon, both very important and highly valued members of society.
