The penguin Grape-Kun has passed away. And I am sad.
But Pencil, you may heartlessly say, what do you care about a penguin? It happens all the time, and besides, you're a heartless bitch who hates the world! Listen here mufuckas, this penguin was a sweet and special soul. He had a tragic backstory that Warner Brothers only wishes they could imitate.
Even though penguins supposedly mate for life, his mate left him for a younger male. After this, he was depressed but became fixated on an promotional anime cutout put in his pen, of a character dressed up in penguin cosplay. He would stare at it for hours. When it was removed he became depressed, so they eventually put it back for him to be with. He was so enamored of this cut out, that he sometimes forgot to eat.
He recently grew sick, and when he passed away, it was with his cutout waifu at his side.
I don't care who you are, and how much you hate everything. This is effing beautiful. This penguin's life makes me feel sad. I would hug a penguin.

You know, having previously read about some guy who married a computer program and having seen so many of those "dinner with waifu" pics(btw, my phone's autocorrect hates that word) I find this entire situation both hilarious and now, with his passing, depressing. Goddammit, even animals love anime.
That is really very beautiful and sad, Pencil! It just goes to show, love is love. Rest well, Grape-Kun.
Lil guy stuck by his waifu till the end. Few among us could say the same, and for that reason he deserves the utmost respect.
Often you hear of cases of people abandoning their waifus. In some instances they even turn away from the waifu of their namesake to pursue (arguably low tier at best) pink princesses, which is absolutely disgusting on several levels. Yet it seems all too common nowadays, and it's one of the reasons why when we see Grape-kun's pure and unwavering love for his waifu, we can't help but admire it.
Safe journey to you, senpai. I'll try my best to live by your example.
