R.I.P — Tom Petty

Rock star Tom Petty has died age 66 of a heart-attack, according to early reports.

Must admit I feel... conflicted on what to say. The dude made two of my favorite individual songs and music videos of all time, but his discography in general and my tastes in music were seldom on the same wave-length, to put it mildly if respectfully.

Think I'll just share the previously mentioned favorites, and let them speak for themselves.

(No insult intended with the subject matter of this one, by the way. Just think it's a genuinely great video and song.)

Mr petty was a step away from many things, but not a bad thing at all with anything he did. A shame to lose him.

To me, he was the sound of the nineties. I can't defend that feeling, but that's the period of which his music always reminds me.
