2020 was, let us be honest, a bad year.
A bad, bad, bad, year.
Got COVID before the warnings were released, it screwed me over in more ways than just the lungs alone as my attention span, stamina, everything went downhill.
Still, after three years I finally got through what was writer-blocking me and am slowly typing the next chapter while rewatching the show.
Well ... this is awkward, my dear readers and fellow writers.
As the title says, it is about time that I openly state what has gone wrong with me in the last year.
I am not sure what the hell went wrong with me, but my productivity has gone down the drain by many a factor.
Well, here goes the next chapter of TEV.

Well, in between work, real life, and time spent outside, I've yet been able to chip in a few words every now and then to the next chapter.
I'm currently at ten thousand words aprox at the latest wordcount.
Will publish once I've covered what I wanted to cover in the chapter - so I'll drink up to that!

I am now at two thousand words into the next chapter. It is titled: 'Dark Tidings'.
It certainly feels good to actually be able to type after so much time blocked by being thoroughly distracted by Real Life(TM).
Oh, how wonders will never cease! 
Well, I'll do my best to post it in a couple of weeks - if not earlier to catch back your attention, dear readers.

I think it has more to do with keeping schedules, to give my readers confidence in one's ability to stick to a schedule.
If I slip, I'll at least want to reassure them that the next date will in fact reward them for their patience.
I prefer to think of it as training - since I don't have neither publisher nor editor to help me when I get stuck - so if I do get stuck, I'll at least try to reward my readers for their patience while I get back on track.
However, your point is valid. I could in fact do it if I left myself off the hook when scheduling.
But that invites procrastination - which I do suffer - so I prefer to not tempt fate (and a dead fic) by it.
Perhaps in the future, when I finally managed to ingrain within myself to give constant output, then I'll release as I finish.
