"A Guide to Herd Dynamics" Still In Progress and Other Fic Matters · 2:32pm Sep 23rd, 2017
Hey to anyone who actual follows me. Sorry that I missed the time I said I'd post the new chapter. A mix of work picking up and leaving me more tired than usual, getting hooked on 4chan MLP threads (I have been corrupted by RGRE so badly), and me just being lazy contributed to me not doing anything for the past couple weeks. Also, the next chapter is giving me a little trouble - trying to get a good handle on the new date's personality and how she interacts with Anon (already revised several times her 'relationship' and flashbacks with him). Ugh, writing be hard... Hopefully, I should get it done in the next couple of weeks, also with a start on the rest of the remaining chapters. I will AT LEAST finish this arc to an acceptable degree.
In other news, I have one of three possible new fic ideas rolling around in my head. Basically something to expand my literary chops during the short hiatus I plan between each of the major 'AGHD' arcs. One is another 2nd-person Anon tale that takes place in the Equestria Girls-verse shortly after the first movie - Anon gets translocated twice and he is not happy about it. Luckily, he has a recently purged Sunset Shimmer to look after him (or is it the other way around?)
Second is your classic 'space traveler crashes on alien planet, has to deal with cute and affectionate pone aliens.' Bit of a twist is that there's some unintentional cosmic horrors vibes going on from the nature of the planet and the reasons behind him crashing there. Think mix between Mass Effect and Warhammer 40K but with ALL the stupidity of my writing! Basic slice of life/first contact shenanigans mixed in as well. Oh yeah, and this is a normal 3rd-person one, so the MC has an actual name and backstory!
Last is another 3rd person with even more stupidity and family shenanigans mixed in - say hello to the human royal babysitter! Son to Celestia, cousin to Cadence, uncle to Twilight, dad to Spike oh dear I've gone crosseyed. Yeah, a very stupid/silly idea with a very ditzy, long-lived human stuck in RGRE. What the hell is wrong with me...
