Daring Do and the Quiververse · 3:25am Sep 8th, 2017
It's going up a little early, but the first couple chapters for "A Daring Day" are in the process of being submitted and should be available for viewing soon. Most of the rest of the story is done, and I should have the whole thing up before the end of this month.
Expect a later blog post about the story itself, but for now, here are a few tidbits for the fictional franchise within the Quiververse itself.
As of the events of "A Daring Day", eighteen books have been released in the series. This includes the sixteen seen in Twilight's possession in "Read It and Weep", as well as two that were published between then and the events of this story - "Daring Do and the Ring of Destiny" (published shortly after the main events of "Daring Don't") and "Daring Do and the Volcano of Destiny" (published at the start of "Rainbow Dash and the Daring Do Double Dare"). A further five books minimum are still to come, based on later episodes and real life releases.
As in canon, the books are written by Daring Do herself under the alias of A. K. Yearling, but within the Quiververse, they're edited by Twilight Velvet (mother of Princess Twilight Sparkle). A select few know the truth behind the name, among them Twilight Velvet, the Mane Six, and Equestria's ruling princesses. Also as in canon, most of Daring Do's adventures take her to remote corners of Equestria and the lands beyond, though the books do omit and exaggerate particular details in order to purposefully keep things vague. "A Daring Day" will elaborate further upon the details.
Interesting, gonna read soon!
