On my evening walk, I glance over at my neighbor's yard... · 3:21am Aug 30th, 2017

They've got a rather two dimensional house, and a rather large flat-screen TV which is elevated up so you can see it through their glass front door.

I look in, and notice there's robes and a wizard hat on the screen.

I stand in my driveway, staring. A few moments later, it zooms out, and fireworks!

Yup, it's Trixie.

Apparently my neighbors are watching the season 6 finale of MLP as I write this. And not a version with commercials, either, so not on TV. :trixieshiftright:

I'm half tempted to stick up my big Coloratura poster in my window now tomorrow to see if any of them notice. :trixieshiftleft:

This is why I like subtle geek signals. Clothing or accessories with just a cutie mark, for example. Depending on the item and the cutie mark, they can look normal enough to wear around without question, but signal that you are Team Three Apples or Team Rainbow Lightning Bolt to the right people.

What... um...what about...team three butterflies...eep!:fluttershyouch:

<The disappointment you feel when you think a story is going to be about Bloodninja, but then it's not.>

Huh. I should glance a thought at people and their T-shirts again.

Funny that your tags hint at potential in-world discriminations. (Sorta) Good fortune in friendship friend.

Next thing you know, you'll have a blood feud on your hands over who's best pony :rainbowwild:

Now, now, we're Oregonians. We don't have blood fueds.

We just plant trees in between our houses so we don't have to look at each other anymore.

The poster may be too subtle, try painting a giant cutie mark on the side of your house and see what happens.

The same thought ran through my head too

This reminds me of a time I was driving home from work and at a stop light, I caught a glance of a CMC episode playing in the car in front of me. I'm not sure if I should be proud of the fact I was able to decipher the episode just from seeing the CMC and a couple other things before the car took off.

Dude just go ring their doorbell and say hi to them. Invite them to the next local pony meet up!

Why can't I have your neighbors?

Talk to them to see if they're bronies!

I recommend opening with, "I was peeking through your windows last night and I wondered if you had any small children."

That's terrible!
"if you had any young children" would be much better.

My favorite stealth pony shirt is one Thinkgeek used to sell but no longer does:

People who know nothing about the show think it's making a statement about science and togetherness, which is a message I am also perfectly happy to propagate. The "Elements of Harmony" stealth pun is icing on the cake.

We don't have blood feuds. We just plant trees

Resolving the best-pony display war in favor of Fluttershy seems surprisingly show-appropriate.

Leave the following note on their door: "Sunshine, sunshine ladybugs awake...

Your 'neigh'bor across the street."
