I'm probably going to hate myself if I actually do this, but it's as easy as this: Many years have passed since the show ended, and you, freshly retired from your successful career, wind up in Equestria. Since you've been alone for most of your life, living the rest of your life in Ponyville sounds like the best thing of your life, and maybe, you can find some love you've missed out. Un/Fortunately for you, the only available lovers are 5 stallions (and a ghost) who are all fathers. Will you end it by being alone? Perhaps becoming friends with one or all? Or find your special somepony?
