Hai!
I've been looking on writing subreddits recently, and the writing prompts there are pretty interesting!
But I was wondering if any of you could suggest some prompts? None of the ones I saw really piqued my interest...
The prompts can be anything, really, MLP or original work, but they'll be short stories. I especially love science fiction/dystopian and fantasy generes. <3 If I end up writing some, I'll be sure to share it on here via blog.

One thousand years in the future, mankind has discovered a means of traveling to planets light years away in the same amount of time it'd take to get to the local restaurant.
On one of these journeys, a crew goes to a planet that has intrigued an adventurous group of friends for years. They nicknamed it Twilight, as it's covered in bright clouds.
However, upon landing—and after slamming into the side of a large mountain—they discovered what the clouds were hiding.
A hellish landscape of monstrous creatures, seas of lava, rains consisting of rocks, and an atmosphere filled with toxic gases.
And an eternal sunset.

4648767 Thanks! I actually got that idea from a little bit I wrote for a story that never came through. The full piece was this:
[A] world of fire that rains from the sky, creatures of stone being ridden by men of skulls and spikes rampaged through settlements, taking everything of value; be it food or women, creatures of lava that burn people alive simply by rising out of their fiery homes, stars that crash into the ground and darken the sky for weeks, endless war and chaos, and a place that houses a creature of evil that even Hell itself can't house it.
It was based off of a planet that's referenced in the video game Borderlands (the planet's name is Promethea—and it's supposedly a massive hellhole). I wanted to use it in a story I'm writing, but couldn't quite figure out how to use it without the story's opening feeling exposition heavy (that and I didn't know where to take the story). Whatever the case, I figured I'd see if you'd use it for a prompt. Glad you like it!
So yeah. Have fun with it! :D
I have a writing prompt at last!
Daring Do and Prince Blueblood get stranded on a deserted island together. They must work together to survive until help arrives which, of course, is made all the harder by the prince's snobbish demeanor and the adventurer's anti-sociality.

Well, I do have a small idea, based on a theory I've always had. I've always felt that this world was once filled with magic, much like it is in Equestria. Only here, instead of embracing magic and learning that friendship is the core of that magic, people forgot and became more enamored of technology and all its ways of making everything easier. They forgot magic and friendship.
However, in Equestria, Princess Twilight, many years in the future, when time travel and interdimensional travel are possible decides to send volunteers into other worlds to seek out new friends and advance friendship. One group travels to our Earth and sees the horrors of a society that has lost their belief in magic. They attempt to help them find it again.
Set in a more futuristic Earth with conflict till among the nations.
