Letters arc complete and posting Monday with Chapter 10 of The Knight, The Fey Maiden, and the Bridge Troll too

I have up to Chapter 99 complete in Letters From a Little Princess Monster, which is a little embarrassing since I *started* the arc in the middle of Covid season. It could have graduated from several universities in that time. Rather than tease bits out of it like I have before, I'm just going to go straight into my daily publishing routine and let you catch up on where I am on The Knight, The

Sun will be down for maintenance on Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience. --NASA

Here's a story by Estee you can read to take up the time until the Sun is all tuned up and returned to operation.

EA Total Eclipse Of The Fun
The second anniversary of the Return is approaching, and all Luna wants for the celebration is one thing -- something Equestria hasn't seen in more than a thousand years. This could be a problem.

    Big Leather Egg Sunday

A reminder (as John Cleese put it) that today is Big Leather Egg Sunday, and to celebrate, I'm linking the Best Football MLP story of all time by Kris Overstreet. Starring... Rarity?

    Goodbye Toby Keith, American Legend

Undoubtedly, if Toby Keith had ever done a tour in Equestria, Applejack would have been right there in the front row, whoopin' and a hollerin' as loud as possible. I think every high school in the US had a proud friendly guy like this, and we raise our red Solo cups in tribute to his last beer run. Salute!

New Year 2024- New Projects 1939

Still working on everything else this year, but I've got a sequel/prequel to Equestria: 1940 in the works, both a series of short stories set in the 1940 world up to the Equestrian moon project, and a war story showing some behind the scenes details about the war. For a little country the size of Ohio in the northern Atlantic, it has a lot of potential. Explosive, mostly. Snippets after the

Eclipse Day! Oh, wait... · 1:30pm Aug 21st, 2017

"Behold the stellar glory of a solar eclipse, that rare occasion when the moon passes in front of the sun... at the breakfast table." Celestia peered over her sister, who was closely examining the jars of jam in the cabinet, which of course she had to lean over Celestia's chair in order to see. "Luna, it really doesn't matter what kind of jelly you pick for your pancakes if you let them get cold." Getting no immediate response, she rolled her eyes and muttered, "I'm being mooned. At breakfast."

When the sun goes out in Equestria, it isn't always something disasterous. Sometimes, it's just a bulb.

A good day also to plug Estee's A Total Eclipse of the Fun and Pinta's The Art of Eclipse Engineering

Occasionally, Luna throws a surprise solar eclipse if she's bored or feeling the need to metaphorically pinch Celestia's nose. The last time she did it, she found herself surrounded by the Mane Six, whose coats and manes had changed to the most eye-straining shifting colours and who were raving about 'saving her from the Nightmare'. She swore never to do it again.

Luna moons her sister ?
At breakfast ?

It's been clear skies all week or so here. Today was cloudy. WHY?

Drove 3 hours last night so I'd be able to see the total instead of just 97%.

That last 3% makes a HUGEYNORMUSS difference. And oh was it a sight to behold.

Totally worth the EIGHT hour drive back (especially since I conned a family member into taking over for the last 4 hours while I tried not to fall asleep in an awkward position in the back seat and wake up with a sore neck - optional objective success!)

It never got very dark here, which was good because I was out mowing lawns and the dimmed sunlight made for a cooler morning's work. Now I've got the usual trash bags full of lawn clippings, but these are eclipse-clippings. That makes them special, right?
Eclippings? Eclipsings? Something like that.

4644137 Let me see if I can share my pictures I took during the eclipse.

You could sell them to a Canterlot restaurant as rare salad greens harvested during an eclipse. Just have to get them there before they compost :D

Channeling my inner Flim-Flam: What? Fermented plant matter is the most popular food for cattle*, so it must be in demand among ponies as well!

*As a real-world feed stock, known as silage.
