    I'm Back (Probably)

Welp, I finally finished the show (and had SEVERAL intense emotions about it, thank you very much). Seeing as I've officially ran out of things to do, I might as well start writing fic again. However... I will be deleting all my older fics, except for Voice of Diamond and possibly 1000 Years. Sisters will definitely be taken down, as I want to write Twibra fic in the near future, and considering

Review #2: How Could I Forget...? · 10:15pm Aug 20th, 2017

By Saberking2012

Hey everypony, I'm back with another review. I'm just gonna skip the intro and everything, and get right to it. This fic definitely fits its genre, sad. However, it has the tragedy tag, which I don't think is accurate. Here is the official description of the tragedy tag.

The literary term “Tragedy” shouldn’t be confused with how the expression of something being “tragic” is used. A sad story is not necessarily a tragedy when in writing. Tragedy involves the downfall or failure of the main character. This again does not mean that they die—the tragedy can lie in the failure to achieve something they have worked for through the whole story. The build-up to such a thing and the eventual failure is what the tragedy is.

There is no downfall, failure, or death. The story is tragic, not a tragedy since it had a happy ending. Other than that, the tags are all correct. Next thing, the plot. It's very solid, there isn't a whole lot of filler. It's simple too, Silver Spoon doesn't meet Diamond Tiara on time, Diamond Tiara realizes why, feels guilty for not remembering Rose Spoon's death, And she goes to the cemetery to put her demons to rest. Everyone was perfectly in character as well. However, I don't really see the need for using Featherweight instead of anyone else. I personally would have used one of the CMC, since any one of them could have actually had some personality. At the very least, the author shouldn't have tagged Featherweight. One other little nitpick, there is the "Other" tag, which doesn't make much sense to me. Rose Spoon is an OC, and the "Other" tag is for characters who don't have tags yet. But that's just me. There are very few grammar errors, which is definitely nice. Makes the story easier to read. Now, a little bit of backstory about this review. I recently got a PM from Saberking2012 asking to review this. Coincidentally, I had actually read this story a while back and most certainly enjoyed it. So if any of you guys asked me to review a one shot before this, I did this first because I didn't have to reread it since I already knew quite a bit about it. Back to the review. Earlier I mentioned that I would have used one of the CMC in place of Featherweight, and this is why. Using a character with a more developed personality would have given us more interesting dialogue. Scootaloo, for example, could add in some common sense, or attitude. She could get irritated with Diamond Tiara, but be dragged along against her will. Maybe we would get something like Crusaders of the Lost Mark, where one of the CMC found out about Silver's mom's death, and feel sympathy for the bullies. Overall, the story was decent. Nothing absolutely exceptional, but it was pretty good.

My Rating: 8.5/10

Thanks for the review. As for Rose, I didn't know if she was a character in the show or no since its never stated. As for FW, aside the interesting conversion that could've been, it wouldn't have played anything in the long haul since its was mainly about SP&DT. Bot to shoot down a point. Anyways, I hope the rest of my stories will be good.
