Honestly, if I hadn't taken a break, I would have been a little offended by this ep like a lot of others.
The fact? I'm following a real group right now. Tbh, I haven't caught up with much of Season 7. I plan to as soon as it's finished (?) What I'm saying is this episode suddenly delved into reality that I was taken aback. It made me realise the boys I'm supporting right now are REAL human beings. They are bound to make mistakes and I shouldn't be mad at them. Instead, like the mane 6, they learn from their mistakes and improve. (Judging from their history, they really do.) You should never set your expectations too high for an actual human being because one, who's to say you could be better? Fluttershy is right. We would all, even subconsciously, will repeat a certain mistake over and over, but we learn. I loved the song. It was just really heartwarming to remind these ponies' flaws and our own flaws. The friendship theme was really strong.
I guess one reason why people would dislike is that they're viewing from a critical perspective of a fan e.g. why are the background ponies acting this way. But if you're a casual fan or watcher, this really feels like a really good moral.
tl;dr One of my fav eps. Thanks MLP. I really needed the reality check.
