So I just watched the newest episode and I'm really wanting to talk about this one.
I loved it!
From my perspective as a writer, this episode nailed it when it came to the fandom constantly bickering and complaining about any and all problems the show has had over the years. This is the writer's bane episode, the moment where the entire staff at MLP decides to finally address all the problems the fandom has had with the show into a twenty-two minute, completely meta episode. So many call backs, so many great jokes, and one kickass song to tie the message together perfectly. Nobody is perfect, and nobody can ever be perfect.
Also, I like the fact that the crowd went back to their ways after the message was said. It was a perfect analogy for how the fandom will continue to go about it's way, just like how the show (The Mane 6) will go about their way as well.
So, all in all, I love this episode because I understand this episode. Their are always going to be problems with the show, but don't think those problems won't go unnoticed by the staff writers. They know what they're doing, otherwise they wouldn't have their jobs in the first place.
