Who Sunset Becomes (includes post-Looking Glass spoilers)

So while Sunset isn't exactly the main character of Who We Become, it's undeniable that she's taking up more screen time than any other characters (especially with Looking Glass). So as the only character with a full life story represented in the series, I got the idea to have five different pictures commissioned from my favorite artists, each one relating to a different influential moment in her life. I think I'll eventually do a Who Twilight Becomes and a Who Fluttershy Becomes series as well some day, but that's a very long term idea.

I got two of the five Sunset pictures commissioned before money problems forced me to put this whole thing on hold until after the holidays, and today the second of those pictures was finished I'll show them off below, but fair warning to my readers who are waiting until Looking Glass is finished to dive into the rest of my series: the second of these pictures is spoilery for Sunset's post-LG life.

The first picture comes from Looking Glass, and was drawn by Pasu-Chan.

There could have never been any doubt that Pasu would be one of the artists here, nor could there be a better choice to start the set. She's the official artist for WWB, and is probably the person that's most in sync with my ideas for Equestria and what makes we like in stories and art (drama, realism, and gay snuggles)

Although Sunset leaving Equestria would've worked as the beginning of her story and thus the beginning of this series, that's already depicted in The Fall of Sunset Shimmer IDW comic. So instead, I decided to focus on her early relationship with Applejack. There were a number of scenes that could've worked really well, but Pasu and I decided that this moment, which pushed Sunset to give up on friendship outright, would be best representation of her early life.

Doing these pictures in order wasn't actually an option (because I haven't written the story that the second picture will be from yet ) so this picture is actually the fourth is the series. It's from In Pieces, and was done by Overlordneon.

Overlordneon is an artist I've followed for some time now, and definitely one of my favorites. This is actually the second time I've commissioned her for Who We Become artwork; she's also the artist behind the group banner. I'm determined to be the first person to write fanfiction for her original series

For the picture, I decided that since I was doing two at once, they'd make a sort of pair within the series. So we have the lowest moment in Sunset and Applejack's friendship followed by Applejack as Sunset's maid of honor ten years later. For Sunset, this picture not only represents her enduring (if at times complicated) friendship with Applejack, but her marriage and the completion of her childhood dream of becoming a princess (albeit not in the way she had thought and only after she had let go of it).

Wondering why it's not a TwiShySet picture for her marriage to Twilight and Fluttershy? The third picture in the series will be a TwiShySet scene taken from Finding Home. Having two TwiShySet pictures back to back in the series seemed pointless, so I decided to follow up on AJ instead. Pretty sure I know who I'm gonna try and get the third commission from, so here's hoping she's available when the time comes
