The Secret Empire tie-in for Spider-Man concluded today. And with that, the battle between Peter Parker and the Superior Otto Octavius came to a major conclusion. Where Otto revealed that he was keeping the company stable under Peter's nose and plotted to use it for his purposes once he finally obtained a new body.
For anyone not liking the current direction of Spider-Man: globetrotting CEO of Parker Industries, you may rejoice. Because Parker Industries is no more.
In order to make sure Otto didn't get his hands on his tech for HYDRA, Peter basically tore his own company apart from the inside to ensure his old foe didn't get a chance to use his backdoor privileges and use the technology and research for his nefarious goals.
Not only that, but Spidey ditched the high-tech suit for the classic underoos once Octavius destroyed the armor for good. So, now classic Spidey is back in business! And the Superior Octopus finally realized that he was merely a pawn for HYDRA, not the ruler like he hoped.
Basically, this story was the way to end the Parker Industries run and head back to the old-school Spider-Man stories. And it was pretty intense and well-written.
But with Parker Industries gone, Spidey still has something, or someone, to worry about: Norman Osborn.
The only good thing about this was the cover, because Ross is just that good
