So, why is Luna's kid's name Sterling? Shouldn't it be something moon-themed?

Well, I'm glad people asked. The answer is this:

And yes, I chose the colors differently, because I wanted a wanted a mix between a lunar alicorn that wasn't Luna and the Tantabus. Thus why her mane is similar to Luna's but without the stars. Her coat is the color of lunar regolith (a fancy term for moondust.) her cutie mark at first seems similar until you realize that her cutie mark isn't a waxing/waning moon but instead (given her domain) is likely a lunate glyph (e.g the Latin C)

Now as to why she looks completely different in her human form than Luna's? Easy - she probably gets her human looks from her father's side of the family.

EDIT: Now I wish I had a picture of Sterling in both her forms to put here just for comparison.
