Academy, Ongoing and Discord Chat! · 7:21pm Aug 5th, 2017
Hello everyone!
As some of you have undoubtedly noticed, I released the next chapter of Ponyville: Noire on time yesterday. I'm glad that so many of you like the story. I'd like to take this opportunity to give a huge shout-out to Magic Step, my long-suffering proofreader for her years of service and the hard work that she puts into proofreading this story for me. I'd also like to give all of you guys a shout-out. Thank you very, very much for reading, liking, commenting and supporting my story! You're all awesome, and I can't express my gratitude enough.
That being said, I do have some possibly bad news.
As some of you might know, I've recently gotten a position as a correctional officer at a local facility. For the past week, I've been shadowing officers at the facility to get some knowledge and first-hand experience on what the job is like. And now, for the next five weeks, I'll be spending my weekdays at a training academy two hours away from home (I'll be staying at a hotel while I'm there, don't worry about the commute too much), training for the job. I'm not too worried about it (it can't be any harder than college!), but it is probably going to leave me with very little time to write and update. And when I do start the job, I'll probably have less time than I would like to do some writing (you don't become a CO if you want a regular 9-5 schedule).
This means that I may be slow enough on writing Noire that I'll have to cut back or delay updates so I can give myself enough of a buffer. Fortunately, I just recently wrote all the chapters for Case Two and I'm planning on starting to write Case Three. I'll try to keep updating every Friday (or Saturday) like regular, but if I can't write a chapter in a week like I'm used to, I may have to move it back to every other week. Worst case scenario, I may have to put it on hiatus.
Don't worry, though: I have no intention of ever giving up on this. I have lots of plans for this story in the future, enough that it'll probably keep me and my readers busy for at least a year! I hope that you all are just as eager for this as I am!
