I just watched the first two episodes of Pony Life and the show is weird and dumb. The visual style of the characters is basically some anime chibli mixed with Cal-Arts and the backgrounds look like the backgrounds from The Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog. I remember watching that move, loved it too...however when I first watched it I was rely young and some of the things in it should have traumatized me...however, now that I think about it my parents also encouraged me to watch "Conan The Barbarian" when I was younger still, without much supervision................WHAT KIND OF GOD FEARING PARENTS DO I HAVE?!?!

It sounds like you have amazing parents. I first Batman Returns in the movie theaters in 1992 when I was 6 1/2 years old. I also saw Conan The Barbarian 1982 when I was little too. Hell I even saw Stephen King's It 1990 when it first came out on tv in 1990.

Yes the movies don't do justice to the books that they were based on. I even saw the first three Child's Play movies when I was little too.
