Just got myself some new socks

Best damn socks I’ve ever had. My dryer, I think, ate up all of other UnderArmour socks, so I ordered these… Saturday, I think.

They were supposed to come on the 31st, but they showed up today. I put a pair on and it feels like angels are caressing my feet.

Like, I’ve ascended to the comfy sock dimension where all will know peace and that peace is socks.

This reminds me of a story I consider relevant:

Once, when I was a child, I decided to explore the old barn back on our property. We had an acre or two of forest behind our house that was primarily useless, but on a rather explorative day, my sister and I found an old barn.

So, I put on my shoes, ignore socks because I couldn't find any, and head out that way. Now, I didn't find much. An old bike, a beer can from the 80s or earlier, and Rat snake. Hoever, on the way home, something caught my notice.

Every time I'd take a step, I felt a sharp discomfort in my foot, around the ball. So, I take a break and look at my foot. There was a nail shoved through my shoe and bent between my toes, scraping against it every time. It was painful, bloody and so on.

But, if I had worn socks that day, it would have cushioned the blow. If only for socks...

When I often drive into down I neglect to wear socks because I can't be bothered to put them on. Why do that when I won't be using them for the rest of the day anyway?
