I keep hearing about all these different sites dedicated to social interaction between artists/people: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, 4chan, Reddit, YouTube, DeviantArt, Twitter, Derpibooru, Discord, etc.. And those are only the ones I've heard of!
I've gotten a few questions about what social websites I'm a member of, like "Do you have a Discord?" or "What's your twitter?"
(Or my personal favourite: "Where's your NSFW art blog, jerk?!") 
Now, to ultimately clear up why I only exist on four social sites, here is my explanation: I don't need any more.
If I want to make/watch a video? YouTube.
If I want to see/upload art? DeviantArt.
If I want to share/read stories? FiMfiction, or DeviantArt again.
If I just want to chat with friends? Facebook, FiMfiction, or DeviantArt yet again.
And before you say anything about encountering people who you wouldn't otherwise, that's just more towards my point: people are separated by websites, and therefore ultimately have end up subscribing to multiple feeds on a plethora of different sites dedicated to social interaction between artists and people, which ends up overwhelming the majority, and therefore becomes more of a chore than the relaxation that socializing and sharing passions should be.
Just a thought.

And even if that's true, this site is more comprehensive and effective than most all others like it I've seen. In fact, I've never seen another site like it.

Every site contains haters, just as they mostly contain either friends or people who respectfully disagree. I'm no stranger to hatred and discrimination, but that hasn't stopped me yet.
And why were you on a furry site? I'd avoid those at all costs.
Sigh. That stuff in the parentheses...
Seriously, its like people cant think of anything else on these kinds of sites sometimes. Just look at derpibooru, where even in the "safe" category some suggestive @#$% gets through
Anyway, glad to have you as a friend on here. I don't use Facebook or anything like it either (unless you count fimfiction). Might be nice to be able to actually meet you in person, but given the apparent time differences (you often reply to me when it's time for me to go to bed) it might not happen in the immediate future.
It is a blessing to have you, Summer, Watercolor, and others as friends. May God go with you as well
