Any of you who watch cop shows probably know what Profiling is. For those who don't, it's when you logically deduce the type of person someone is through their actions, memorabilia, and a fair amount of educated guess-work. Police generally use it to determine how a particularly elusive criminal will act next.
I am not trained in doing as such. However, like my interest in Quantum Physics, I delve into psychology from time to time. I'm not trained in Profiling, but even I can connect the dots after learning the basics. Though, at times, that doesn't stop me from adding two and two and getting twenty-two...
As for why I'm mentioning this, I left off the most recent chapter of Hero Souls with a bit of a hint towards a particularly important and large character development plot. I'm still working on it, still trying to nail down the details and fiddly bits, but I have a fair idea how it's going to work. The only real problem I have right now is determining when to kick it off, as there's at least one or two inconsistency issues no matter how I arrange it. I may have to get creative with the episode order...
And I think it might toe the line of how far I should take the drama of the story. But like I said, character development, and a fairly large amount of it. I think it would be worth it.
Anyways, this little mini-arc is going to revolve around two characters and their reactions to the Hero Souls thing. Everyone is going to have a different reaction to being a Hero Soul and being the friend of a Hero Soul, but these two in particular are going to have some pretty severe reactions. Far worse, in a way, than Twilight's.
This is just to let you all know that, though slow, I am chewing my through the story.

Well this does add a wrinkle. But you have introduced some major changes on how things should have gone so ponies having different reactions would be appropriate. Never be afraid to drop a line to those you trust for advice or help. We all are willing and able!
