TrotCon 2017 IMPORTANT INFO FOR THOSE CURIOUS

So, I haven't made you guys aware on here, but there have been quite a few changes regarding me going to TrotCon this coming weekend. Those of you who might be attending the con and are interested in meeting up there, READ BELOW:

I was originally planning to get down there a little bit before noon on Saturday, July 15th, and staying until around 5 PM. Part of the original plans were that my parents would drop me off for that time (which has since changed, they will instead stay around the convention). However, as of today, upon speaking to my parents, they have said how they would much rather leave later in the day (around 1 o'clock), and get down there around 1:30 or 2:00, spend a couple hours down there, and then leave. I told them how I was hoping to actually get down there a bit before noon because of an animation panel I'm wanting to attend, which starts at noon sharp.

They have since said that "we will see how things go" when it comes to Saturday. Though, they tell me that if we go down there before noon, we will not be staying past 4:00, or even sooner, depending on when the Nerf war ends. Truthfully, I do not expect them to be reasonable on that day, and it would not surprise me if they up and change their mind last minute and we don't go at all (but I'll keep my hopes up that that does not come to pass!)

The primary reason why I want to head down early and stay a few hours to begin with is so I can socialize. Along with CategoricalGrant, there are quite a few people I'm hoping to meet up and chat with at the con which, annoyingly enough, might be cut short.

Lately, my parents have been quite irritable and hard to negotiate with regarding TrotCon, and, while it is rather imperative that I know as soon as possible to let you guys know, talking to them about it has turned into chore, especially if they cannot keep true to their word about this. If all goes well, I might spend three or four hours down there before heading home. The big issue is, I don't know what time. Whether or not I arrive before noon, I will be around for the 3 PM Battle of Bottlecap Canyon, there is no denying that!

EDIT: Having informed my grandma of the matter, she is going to talk to my mother about it and see if she can change her mind.

But, that aside, once I am at the con, chances are between the panel (if I go to it) and the nerf war, I'll likely hang around the vendor hall or by the ballroom in those hallways. I'll also be cosplaying (lightly), as said in a previous blog post! You can check out what I'll be wearing in the link on that post so I'll be easier to spot.

For those that might miss me there, too, or won't be going to the con, I'll be making a video of it for you guys to watch later on! So stay tuned for that.
