Ummm, what? (Also, future plans - need input.) · 6:23am Jun 29th, 2017

Ummm....
I was just googling myself, and this showed up.
Yeah, sure, the ebook said "Published by FimFiction," but... it certainly is interesting.
Especially since it didn't list any of my other stories. Only Guiding Light.
Speaking of, I have kind of hit a roadblock with the first chapter of Breaking Dawn.
In case you didn't notice.
Anyway, I still have tons of ideas and inspiration for it, but it always seems to be for future chapters, character development, canon development, that sort of thing. And I kind of want to improve my writing style, get better at description and visualization of the environment around my ponies.
I was thinking of perhaps starting a new story, to both practice writing and have something to improve myself with, while getting rid of my creative funk, but you all have waited for long enough already, and I don't want to risk losing my readers, or having them forget any events from Guiding Light.
What do you all think? Should I push through this first chapter, and just get through to the parts that I had the inspiration for, or do you think making a fresh story is a good idea, keeping both up, but prioritizing Breaking Dawn whenever possible?
On a more humorous note, I tried oats the other day. Not oatmeal. Oats.
They were surprisingly good. I just needed to drink some water with them.
...I think I might just like them better.
Oh, and the site also had a spot at the bottom to say that I was the author, and sign up.
Not sure. You think I should?
I have no advice for what to focus on, but congratulations on ending up on Goodreads. I don't really know much about Goodreads, but going by the name it sounds pretty nice.
I followed your example and ended up here. Aaw. Poor snake

Aww...
Although I guess I have an advantage of having a really unusual name. So I mostly got all the things I ever worked on instead of something related to my name.
But when I searched "Aurora Morningdew" (my alternate username for some things), I learned something interesting about Aurora (the goddess of the dawn that my Aurora got her name from). Apparently her tears formed the morning dew.
Talk about a nice coincidence.

Well, as far as names go, I'd say mine are often fairly unique. Yours is probably moreso though

Yeah, of course, but it does include words that all mean something.
Detsella is very clearly a name, and Morning dew isn't a very common phrase.
And the story I got it from only ever mentioned it as "Detsella Renombrada Morningdew," so that didn't show up, either.
