It's a good thing I got stalled on Scattered months ago, because a continuity repair would've been a lot harder if I'd written more than the prologue so far. X_X
Given "Dance Magic" revealing that Cinch is no longer the Principal of CPA, I've written a section of the prologue of Scattered to account for this.
Doesn't really affect the plot of the story, it's just a minor detail.
EDIT: Speaking of minor details, I fixed that "Maybe Vinyl's mute?" thing that directly contradicts background scenes in Everfree.
Yeah, much as I like the show continuing, its evolving continuity does wreck havoc on my stories. One of my stories involved a cherufe and the comic featuring them came out right before I was finished. I decided to just go ahead and publish, trusting that my readers would understand.
For me, I've written that Cinch is the new Dean replacing Cadance. Despite being Dean, however, she still tries to uphold control with her current power, much to the dismay of Cadance, the new head of the school.
Cinch is still there. She's still the scary psychopath.
Just as a Dean and not a Headmistress.
There's also a background scene in the end of Friendship Games where Vinyl is visibly talking to Lemon Zest
