Hello, everypony. We’re back!
We are proud to return to you with another chapter of The Broken Toy. It’s been just about 4.5 months since the last release, which is not too shabby considering our last unintended hiatus that lasted… too long. This time we aren’t going to promise you faster releases, as we’ve already failed to deliver on our promises in the past. Instead we’re just going to keep on translating, as every tap on the keyboard brings us closer to another release.
Oh, and by the way, you can help! We are looking for two kinds of people:
- Ru-En translators. All who know Russian well enough to understand the source text and know English well enough to translate Russian horse words into it are welcome. A portfolio of your prior translations would be a huge plus. Same goes for English text of your authorship.
- Test audience. This is a small group of people we’d like to test our final text on right before the release to make sure the text is grammatically correct and doesn’t seem awkward for an English reader. Deep understanding of English punctuation rules is a huge plus, as we are still learning its mysterious ways. And Russian punctuation is very different from the English one.

And traditionally, we’d like to express our immense gratitude to the people who keep this project alive and kicking, V_Korneev, Slaaneshi and Icy Shake. We also welcome back the TBT lore expert and chief editor of the Russian version of the Broken Toy, DrSchmallhausen. And last, but not least, is the new addition to our team, SviMik, who does some IT work for us besides the usual translation and editing, and keeps our spirits high with his shenanigans =)
