And I actually need help with this one with legit reasons why I should get either game...
Golden Sun on GBA or Breath of Fire 1 or 2?
With the funds I have right now, I can only get one. I've never played either and it would be great if I had some outside assistance to help me decide. Thank you!
i played neither of them

yea golden sun but you can choose what you want
They're all pretty good. where are you getting them from? Depending on the place and price you might be able to get all 3.

The Wii-U E-shop. Admittedly I could just put more money into my account and get more, but I'm trying to limit my spending habit. Hence I can only get one game with the funds I have on my account right now.

I see. Then go with Golden Sun for now.

Thank you both for your suggestions and support! There's been a lot of people telling me which game I should buy and I super appreciate that. However, due to how many people voted for it and after some careful review of each comment, I have decided to buy Golden Sun for several reasons:
Thank you both for your suggestions yet again! I'll be sure to get Breath of Fire one day, but for now I'm leaning towards Golden Sun. Hope you guys have a wonderful day!

Anytime and really Breath of Fire only has 2 endings based on what you do with the final boss at the end. Spare her or kill her. One leads to a game over the world is doomed cause evil villain conquering the world and all, Paper Mario style and the other the true ending for the game. Not sure about Breath of Fire 2 though having yet to buy it.

If you're still considering, it's worth noting that if you can get a lot of sidequests done in Golden Sun, you can have some extra stuff happen in the sequel as a bonus from it. I was also very fond of the games, the visuals, the sense of adventure, puzzles weren't too bad so it was a fine mental exercise too along the way... I would urge you to use a guide, since, unlike the sequel, the first one doesn't let you teleport to any location, and the map isn't exactly tiny on foot if you feel like backtracking to explore some missed content. It's also possible to permanently miss some Djinn, and if you missed more than one of each element in the first, you cannot enter the bonus dungeon in the second with the toughest boss.
One bit of worthwhile advice by the way: Don't spend any Lucky Coins in Golden Sun. Save them for the sequel as the fountain there yields better items in general, and Djinn, equipment, and items held by the party in the first game can be transferred over.
