k I'm kinda new to this "blog" thing but I figure why not right.
Anywho here is a few things about me. First of (for any of you who also follow me on DeviantArt) I'm an Ex-Active Soldier for the US Army (aka a military Brony) I use the term Ex-Active since I am still a soldier of the Texas National Guard. I wont say which unit since I am sort of a closeted brony in my active life.
As most know, I'm not the best writer (as in spelling/grammar) most of it comes from me typing faster then I think, or quickly typing without looking at the screen since I never learned to properly type. (I hunt and peck but proficiently) sadly my proofreader (voluntarily) is polish who's second language is English so even he doesn't catch all the misspellings and grammar problems. but I promise I will keep trying to fix this issue so long as people stop pestering me about it in the comment. When I get frustrated it only makes my typing worse trust me.
But now about my writing.
I've gone a long way since Tears of a Fallen Star and I must say I am proud of both myself and thankful for all my readers who have kept up with me so far. Each person who enjoys my stories makes me all the more inspired to keep going so to those who still follow since the very first, Thank you. to those who are more recent, I admire your support as well and hope you enjoy what is soon to come.
Next up, my current chapter of The Third Commander hit a little snag, Usually when I write I try my hardest to limit my chapters to about 4000 - 6000 words for good reason. Well Chapter 25 hit a whopping 9989 words and every word worth it... BUT... the main reason I limit my words is because DeviantArt has a strict limit on how big text files can be and... I broke it. so I had no choice but to split it in two, but since I like to add my own little bang to each chapter this forced me to rewrite where the last one left off and the next one began. but for suspense reasons, I still plan on posting them a day apart cuz lets face it... what makes a chapter better is the suspense of waiting for the next. anyways, both chapters will be up soon and then the final of the story and series. sadly I wish this series could go on forever but 500 years later... there is nowhere to go with that. lol
Next up on my writing, is the adventure story of Captain Crimson Bartholomew Sail, who we all know, as Captain Sail. yes he is getting his own story. he has been in the background for so many stories that I though "why not?". His story will be a prequel to Limitless Skies and will tie onto the story in his own way. This epic adventure story will be a pirate story titled, Under Crimson Sails. I'm looking forward to this epic story of mystery, adventure, and revenge as Captain Sail and his crew board the Bloody Tide and sail for the pirate who pushed him to piracy.
Then we have a new story (possibly series) called Love's Lost Decade, or Journey of the Heart. (title still under consideration) This story will be a Sequel to Never Meant To Be About Zeil's 10 year quest around the world to return to Equestria and reunite with the mare he loves. It will most likely be a small collection of short stories devised throughout the years as he travels across the world facing new cultures, unusual mysteries, and even things that could be considered supernatural. although most of the stories will be short, they will all tie together and quite possibly reveal something about himself that he didn't know. plus during on of his stories I plan to add something I've never attempted to before in my writing. a Horror theme. it will only be in one of the stories but I'm excited for it already.
Then finally I plan on a story that hit a little closer to a personal setting with me called, The Tally Mark. we all have heard the stories of hero's and rulers. of those who lead the war and vanquish the evil. but what of the soldiers under the leaders? we see the fighter in the castles, but forget about the one's in the trenches, and on the battlefields. well this story is about one such soldier. He fought his way through the war, and yet, is never spoken about in the history book. in all accounts, he is merely a tally mark. if not on the accountability roster, then on the death count.
this story is one I'm excited about because as a soldier it seems to hit closer to my way of thinking when I was overseas, (despite how dark it seems) I plan on putting a lot of Slice of life stuff in it as well as a few things that will be added for story purposes. I haven't thought up a name for the main character although I do plan on his life tying into Tears of a Fallen Star and the Nightmare Crusade. I hope for a good story and by them I may have more idea's later, but so far, I'm drawing a blank.
Till then guys keep cool and I would like to post a blog on a regular basis but I may stick to doing it at least once between chapters. for all following readers I hope you stick with me for the long haul. and for new readers, I hope you enjoy what's there thus far. but for all else, just stay awesome and let your creativity shine.
