Whom the princesses would destroy -- a compromise solution · 8:12am Oct 6th, 2012
So I was educated, recently, on how long I'm expected to wait for a response to EqD. Suffice it to say it is measured in weeks. It's not that the fine ponies of Equestria Daily are lazy, it's just that there is an astonishing number of stories being sent their way. So, I came up with an alternative -- for those few people who decided to follow me here is the story. Think of it as an early bird bonus, of sorts. I would ask that you don't spread the link around, I'm still hoping for a proper release and a shot at the featured box[1].
I hope you find the story enjoyable.
[1] Well, none can fault me for not being ambitious enough.
I've read it, but I'm going to hold off on fav'ing it until it's officially released, to aid your featured-box push. (That is how it works, right?)

Well, if you want to help[1], the key bit is to hold off 'liking' it. You can favorite at any time you like -- it doesn't factor into the featuring algorithm one way or the other.
I'm glad you liked it, by the by. And there I was thinking, based on your comments, that you didn't.
[1] And I'm glad you do.

Do you mean giving it a thumbs-up? 'Liking' and 'favoriting' are the same.
No, I liked the story; I'm a fan of 'Life in Canterlot' stories. I just felt like yelling at the characters a bit, that's all.

Yes. Thumbs up is the factor relevant for featuring. Favorites are merely pleasing to the author and convenient to the reader.
As for yelling at the characters, by all means, yell away. I understand about the blackmail (such an ugly word!) but what was so annoying about Lilly? You don't have to respond, of course, I'm just curious.
Congratulations on the feature box by the way.
