The good, the bad and the ugly about Fimfiction 4.0 · 2:33pm Jun 6th, 2017
This took me by surprise. The mods must have announced this change during the past weekend, when I was off the site, so I had no idea of it until yesterday, and after a day of try and failure, I can tell my opinions about it.
-The Good:
Easy to learn: There’s nothing different about this and the last version, it may take some time but it’s too easy to get used to it.
More options: While I am writing this, I’m adapting to the new “apps”.
-The Bad:
The character icons: We begged and demanded for them for over two years, and when they finally appear they only last for four months... really? Besides, they had more charm than simple textboxes. They still appear at the “create new story” option, but it’s not the same.
The mobile version: Let me explain this better. My cell phone it’s right, there’s no problem here. My Ipod on the other hand... there are times when “my account” option blocks the screen and it doesn’t interact very well, which means I can’t logout in my Ipod. I don’t know what happens here, but I expect some updates or something similar.
-The Ugly:
The ratings: Honestly, I don’t know what to say about this, now it registers the amount of rating for each story, but not day by day like before. It’s confusing.
