Redemption in the middle ages, and why Hope needs to relax · 5:23pm May 30th, 2017
After deleting "Redemption in Moonlight" in a fit of pique, I took a long hard look at the story and what I was trying to achieve with it, on a personal level.
I wanted court drama, sure. I wanted intrigue and mystery and struggling with identity, yes, but I feel that by making Princess Luna the main character, I blew out my own tires. Everything had to be high stakes enough for Princess Luna to be at threat, and everything was stuck in the very Important world of a Princess.
I'm rewriting the story, and right now I have a few ideas for titles. This rewrite will focus on Prim Rose as the main character, telling her story from the first time she set hoof in the castle, until the end of her life. I feel this is a way to explore all I want to explore more fully, and subsequent stories can tell the stories of future castle staff who interact with Princess Luna, as she grows and develops as a character.
Title ideas:
PrimRose's redemption
Redemption in moonlight (A repeat of the previous title)
A rose by any other name
