I realized recently I didn't have an actual Gemsona, so I decided to make one. I was also stupid and only realized after drawing her that I made her my birthstone...yeah.
Before anyone says anything, yes; I know Opal is already a canon fusion. I follow the headcanon that fusion gems can be non-fusion gems, and vice versa. Plus, I'm pretty sure they're two different types of Opal.
So...yeah. I love this design
She's heavily inspired by the gem OC Bornite by TheZodiacLord on DevArt, both in design and in backstory, so...yeah. Credit where credit is due. Go check them out. They're awesome
So, for those of you who are interested, my personal headcanon is that Opals are entertainers with the ability to create illusions. They're basically Ruby-level expendable, since they're very easy to make and aren't a necessity. They're inbetween Pearls and Rubies, basically. They usually serve multiple nobles, entertaining them whenever they want. And for those wondering why she doesn't have a Diamond or a star...well...you'll probably have to wait until I get a DevArt to make comics...sorry. I hope you guys like her

Meanwhile, in an alternate universe...
Hasbro is slowly gaining dominance over the tv world. No one took notice until they finally conquered our dear beloved Steven Universe. They have torn down Steven's house in favor of some easily manufactured toy gimmick, and no one can remember the last time any of them have been in character. The Crystal Gems all have "super powered Gem" outfits now, and new characters have been forced in without any thought to the story...without any thought to us, the viewers...all for the money. Worst of all, they have forced homeworlds reveal without any thought to the storyline...only to sell cheap toy versions of homeworld's structures.
What is this world coming to? The shows we all used to know and love have become empty shells of what they used to be...empty...souless...advertising shells. All because of Hasbro, the evel mastermind behind this destruction, to the point where now amount of "buy our toy" jokes can end the suffering of viewers everywhere.
We, the fandom, have made a decision. We will be marching to the gates of Hasbro, singing the theme-song, the one thing they have left for us, loud and proud. We shall demand respect for these characters; respect for the show; respect for the story; and respect for us the fandom.
Also, I made two more Gems, so now I have four. (not counting Melody) So many fusions! I still can't wait to do one with your Moonstone:3
