How to fix 'Honest Apple'

I don't normally feel this strongly about an episode but this episode really rubbed me the wrong way. Don't get me wrong this had a good moral, especially for the modern generation; knowing the difference between being blunt and being honest. Silverquill has often said that Applejack is at her best when she is being supportive and I agree with his statement. Through out the episode Applejack wasn't really herself, she just became so heartless and hurtful. I think the episode would have worked better if they had introduced a new character who acted this way and have AppleJack as a bystander. You know what! I'll just put my thoughts into a list.

1. Introduce a new character as the third Judge, either a pony version of Simon from American Idol,or Sugar Coat 2.0. Basically introduce a character who is a big name in fashion but is really cold heart-ed and blunt.
2. Have Rarity ask Applejack for help with setting up the show. It just seems to make more sense that Rarity would ask A.J. for help setting up the show than being a judge knowing full well that Applejack knows nothing about Fashion but is excellent muscle.
3. While helping out AppleJack gets to know the contestants and witnesses all their hard work that they put into their clothes. However, the third judge comes in and acts out. He/she bashes out at the contestants calling them all failures and embarrassments to fashion. Applejack gets angry with the judge for being heartless and calls him/her out on it.
4. Applejack explains to the judge that there is a difference between being honest and being blunt. Shows him/her about being honest but with care. The judge learns about being considerate and respectful toward others.
