So, the only reason I have a PS3 anymore is because I play Minecraft on it. The system doesn't handle the game very well. The autosave function brings the game to a screeching halt for up to, and sometime over, thirty seconds. The more of the map you explored the worse the lag and autosave length got, and the FPS tanks every few minutes.... but at least I could play Minecraft. I could even build most of the stuff you see other Minecrafters, such as the Hermits of HermitCraft, make. Most.
Needless to say it was sometimes frustrating. Worth it, but frustrating.
And then I remembered that Minecraft PC Edition was a thing, and I had just gotten a brand new laptop for Christmas.
I spent the last two days lost in the internet as I just enjoyed the smoothness of the game. Best 24 bucks I ever spent. Of course, my laptop is by no means a gaming system, so it has to be running Minecraft exclusively in order to prevent horrid FPS and annoying lag... but yeah. I'm thoroughly enjoying my downtime.
However, I'm feeling the twitch in my fingers telling me it's time to start writing again, so I'm probably gonna jump back on that in a few days. I wanna let the novelty wear off first.
Good... My mind is itching to get to know better the newest version of one of my most valuable friends, regardless of what Kobik did...
Are there even any mods for the PS3 version? I can't imagine playing vanilla minecraft ever again after playing the massive modpacks. It's like an entire new game.

PS3? No. I hear the PS4, Xbox One, and Pocket Edition can use mods though. Just not the PS3 Edition.
