Well that was...a lot of things. Not all of them good.
First off, a moment of silence to my headcanon where Big Mac is secretly gay or bi.
*crickets*
Anyway, yeah, that was...an episode. It had things in it, good and bad. After a crappy episode like Fluttershy Leans In and two great episodes like Forever Filly and Parental Glideance, I was surprised that this episode was just so...there.
I mean, basically the plot is that Big Mac has a crush. Again. On a random pony that he has very little real chemistry with. Again. Freakin' horndog. The love interest Sugar Belle is okay, but not particularly interesting. Feather Bangs is an annoying Justin Beiber/Braeburn mix (Justin Braeburn?). Some parts of the episode just made me cringe, but I do like the CMCs in this one. Plus we get to hear Big Mac speak in full sentences again, as well as sing. That was nice, but was it just me, or did it sound like someone else was voicing Big Mac other than Peter New? Maybe Peter had a cold or something, the VA just sounded a little off. Then again, we hardly ever hear Big Mac speak in full sentences so maybe I'm just not used to it.
I'd probably give it a 6/10, maybe a 7/10. Probably not an episode I'd watch again.
No silence needed; he could still be bi with a current preference for females. Bisexuals sometimes go through phases where they swing back and forth in their preferences. That's part of what "bisexual" is.
