    Buckle Up

New chapter is entering revision phase. As per my last blog post, please use spoiler tags where appropriate.

Also buckle up. It's going to be a wild ride.

    Concerning Spoilers

I would like to remind readers of Equestrian Horizon that spoilers in comments should be covered with the requisite markup tags or avoided in the first place. This will be relevant now more than ever. Just saying.

    A short detour

Took another detour before heading back in on Equestrian Horizon.

    Defect

Things I discovered writing this piece:

    • I suck at naming stories and chapters.
    • I suck at writing synposes.
    • I cannot post pieces to FiMFiction without titles or synposes, so my terrible ones will have to suffice.
    • I only have a partial idea of how to write Tempest, but also a desire to do so which is infuriating.

    I'm not dead

So I got sucked into Final Fantasy XIV and left Equestrian Horizon to languish unfinished. Then my computer died.

All data is safely backed up on separate drives or in the cloud but I am sans gaming rig for the time being. I am still going to attempt to finish EH by the end of the year. The next chapter, Ouroboros, is done and currently in the proofing and revision phase.

    Onward.

My original concept utilized one of my very first OCs, an officer in the Royal Equestrian Army. A retiree, Aristotle is the typical veteran officer, with a bit of trolldad thrown in for good measure. His relationship with Celestia is strictly professional, though because of how long he's been in the service and the fact that he's worked with the Princess on a regular basis, he's a little looser in his conversation than the average butter bars fresh out of OCS.

I'll admit. I don't like this piece. I'd originally meant it for month to month writing projects with Canterlot.com, but for some reason or another, I wasn't able to settle on a working topic in time to get quality work done. So here it is, 4 days behind schedule, but more or less complete. There are a few unrealized concepts in here that I may bring out in subsequent revisions, but right now I need to put this up and move on to other projects.

Take it as one of the interim works and artist goes through while perfecting his craft.
